Before You Buy

Why does Cheerlux publish ANSI lumens instead of just "lumens"?

Because they are very different numbers. "Lumens" with no qualifier — sometimes called "light-source lumens" or "LED lumens" — measures the raw output of the LED bay before any of that light reaches the LCD panel or the lens. It is a real number, but it is a manufacturing spec, not a viewing spec.

ANSI lumens is the industry standard for measuring what actually shows up on the wall: white test pattern, native focus, nine-point average. For the same projector, light-source lumens typically run 2.5 to 3 times the ANSI figure.

We publish ANSI on every product card and every full spec sheet, measured at our Shenzhen QC lab on production-line samples. We do not publish light-source numbers — they are accurate as factory specs but misleading as buying specs.

Some Cheerlux models ship in different smart-system variants — Netflix, Google TV, Android. Is the hardware the same? Is the price the same?

The chassis, panel, optical engine and thermal design are identical across variants of the same model. The smart-system variant comes from a different main-control board (different SoC) inside the same chassis — that is what swaps a Netflix Home OS unit into a Google TV or Android 14 unit.

Because the SoC, the licensing terms and the bundled accessories (e.g. Google TV requires a certified 2K dongle) differ between the three, wholesale pricing differs between variants as well.

Distributors quoting a customer should specify which smart-system variant they are pricing — your account manager will share the variant-specific price list.

Distributors & Service

What's the warranty on a Cheerlux projector, and how do channel-side returns work?

Standard warranty on every Cheerlux projector is 12 months from invoice date, covering manufacturing defects on the unit itself.

End-customer warranty terms are set by each distributor based on local regulations.

For channel-side returns or service requests, please contact your assigned account manager directly — they will route the case to the right team and get back to you with a specific resolution path.
